This painting marks my return to full time painting, having taken on a part-time job in 2025. Health issues dictated that I couldn't continue working in the job, so I resigned and went back to my first love - art! This was the first oil painting I completed when recuperating from a health crash, and it took a number of weeks to finish.
My goal with this painting was to create something that connected with my own personal sense of peace, despite the setbacks and struggles. The title, taken from a John Mayer song, seemed apt.
